The Marathi Oopkaree Sabha in Mont Fertile came alive with colours, creativity and culture on Saturday, 07 June 2025, as it hosted a remarkable painting exhibition featuring the works of the talented artist Mr. Kumar Dindoyal. Organised in collaboration
with the Marathi Oopkaree Sabha Mont Fertile, this vibrant event attracted more than 100 attendees over two days and brought together art lovers, community leaders, and honoured guests for a true celebration of the arts.
A Platform for Artistic Expression
This exhibition marked another milestone in Mr. Kumar Dindoyal’s artistic journey, which began with his first public showcase in November 2011, organised by the New Invaders
Club. Over the years, Mr. Dindoyal’s work has resonated with audiences for its emotion, depth and vivid storytelling through colours. For this event, his most cherished and impactful paintings were exhibited, offering visitors a glimpse into his world of inspiration and imagination.
Guests of Honour Inspire the Audience
The event was graced by two distinguished guests –Honourable Anishta Babooram, who served as Chief Guest, and Honourable Ashley Ramdass. In their addresses, both guests expressed admiration for the power of art and the dedication of Mr. Dindoyal.
Hon. Ashley Ramdass highlighted the invaluable role of the arts in society, describing it as something that should be both encouraged and valued. He commended Mr. Dindoyal for his dedication and creative spirit.
Hon. Anishta Babooram, in her keynote speech, noted how commendable it is for someone to invest time, money, and energy in promoting the arts in today’s materialistic world. She praised Mr. Dindoyal’s perseverance and passion, affirming that the arts have a vital place in enriching communities and inspiring minds.
Words of Encouragement from the Organiser
Representing both the Marathi Oopkaree Sabha Mont Fertile and the New Invaders Club, Mr. Ashok Gowreea played a key role in organising the exhibition. In his speech, Mr. Gowreea described artists as “the chosen ones” – individuals gifted with a unique vision and sensitivity. He stressed the importance of supporting those who engage in any form of art, noting that such pursuits can play a meaningful role in preventing social issues by providing a positive and constructive outlet for expression.

Mr. Kumar Dindoyal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Marathi Oopkaree Sabha for offering the venue free of charge, and to Mr. Ashok Gowreea for his efforts in bringing
the event to life. He also thanked the honoured guests and the public for their presence and encouragement.
